H.G. Rasool

With leaves and roots, a creeper,
Increased the wonder
Within its body.
With every breath,
It floated in the air and maintained silence.
A touch of
Perandai caused blood to seep
And blossomed into a small flower.
Guava vines that clung and spread
Released the scent of sorrow
Into the air.
A cluster of black flowers fallen in the early morning dew
Caressed the earth’s lips
And groaned in pain.
The form of Velimalai, with dew-soaked clouds gathered,
Began to appear gently
And fell as a dream.
Enthusiasm that filled the entire heart
Vanishied and froze
In corners and crevices
As dark shadows,
Covered by secret pains,
A moan rose up.
